Rome 2016

First stop in our Italy TripRome:

We visited lots of tourist attractions such as the Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, St. Peter’s Basilica, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, Piazza del Popolo, Vatican City, Vatican Museums, Castel Sant’Angelo and Altare della Patria. We spent 4 days there in total, and luckily for us, everyday was sunny! Rome has lots of things to offer, and Italian coffee is just amazing :O Taking the train or underground is so easy and accessible, and most places are within walking distance so it is not difficult to get around.

Trevi Fountain:
The Colosseum:
The food was so good! This restaurant was called ‘Exquisitaly’ in the heart of Rome.
We took the train to visit Vatican City – it was so beautiful! We spent a good 10 minutes just taking pictures of this museum haha! We didn’t go inside as neither of us are really into museums, but seeing the outside was good enough for us 🙂 It also happened to be my birthday, and visiting this city made my day! It was definitely worth a visit.
This bridge was also stunning, with statues of angels lining the sides:
We also came across a dessert stop and couldn’t resist 😛

Overall, we had a really great time in Rome and didn’t even want to leave! But we had to head to Florence which was our next stop. We would definitely visit again! Another post will be up soon about our experience in Florence 😀 I hope you enjoyed this post!
